People are so funny, they want to be pleased all the time,
If you don't give them the attention they need,
They become grouchy and mad,
You see them for who they really are,
They are the most craziest things God ever created,
They need more attention than an animal.
Everything they need is about them,
Have you ever come across a person who is real,
No it's hard to come by such a person,
The truth is that there is no truth,
No truth in any human being,
They've all become selfish! selfish! selfish!
It's all about I, me and myself.
I have learned much from this life,
People are not what they seem to be,
When you please them they love you,
When you don't, you see the devil,
Taking over the angel that just dazzles with charm,
What creatures are we that we have so many faces,
One to smile, one to deny, one to hurt, one to ignore,
How very unfortunate are we that we are dealt,
With such treachery, such deceit and cunning,
The ways of man are many,
But if only he learns how to love unconditionally,
This world will be truly a place of heavenly bliss!

My Youth

There's so many things on my mind ....thoughts reeling,
Pictures of my life just come flashing back,
Things of the past that have become a distant memory,
Youth and life and much more....

I want to live it all over again and touch the morning,
With a newness and a freshness of a baby,
Feel the earth beneath my feet with all it's splendour,
Yes, yes I want to feel the earth again

I want to embrace it all, the youth, the beauty, the life,
And yet it's gone so far from me,
Where are you, my youth, where are you,
Can I find you once again in this lifetime.....

Have you gone so far that I may never feel that way again,
Of loving and laughing, but...there's no more of that,
Can I never come back to that place again,
To enjoy those glorious moments again,

Here I lie, waiting for my life to be cast out
Into the depths of the sea,

You have left only pieces of yesterday in a long gone memory,

Helping Hands

Lord help me to be a blessing indeed
To any soul who is in need
Help me to be able to give
More than what I need to live

In times of trials and trouble,
Lord help me to be able,
Able to love and to share,
More than I would really want to care

Teach me dear Lord to speak with ease,
And not always try to tease,
Give me also a patient ear,
To listen to the drop of a silent tear

Teach me please to be of a gentle mind,
It is a task not so easy my Lord,
But it is something that I must ford.

If I may be a person filled with worth
Lord let my heart be as huge as this earth
So that there will be upon my face

The Flavours of Life

You may ask, what the essence of life is? Well, I think it will mean different things to different people. To some maybe it's in having lots of money and wealth, to others maybe it's fame and I think there are many differing opinions and answers to this question. I often wonder about these things myself. Reflecting on my own life and what I have derived from it or of it......I have come to the conclusion that the essence of life in every person's life depends exactly on what ingredients we choose to put into it.

For instance, a chef, he has to mix up spices, herbs, and what have you to come up with the perfect dish. That is his special ingredient that will finally yield the result that he wants for his dish. Let's look at a painter. What does he have to do to create his perfect picture?? Well it takes a lot of planning and thought. His art needs to inspire and captivate the eye that beholds his art piece. There has to be dimension and depth to his work. That's his way of putting it all together to bring out the best of what he does. Stroke by little stroke of his brush, day in and day out, he brings perfection and completion to his art piece. And what about and actor? Well, don't you think he needs to perfect his art of acting by putting in the ingredients that will shape him into character? He definitely does. His appearance changes, his thoughts change, his movements, everything about him has to change in order to become this other person. He is putting in the ingredients necessary to become the other person.

In our own lives, I think this is the key to living a fulfilled and happy life. Many of us think that we have the brunt of everything and we just give up. Why, just because someone is giving us a hard time, or there's too much work to be done or there is not enough money to do the things we want. Well, let me ask you, who does have enough money to do the things he wants???? Except if you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth or if you were just plain harworking and made yourself rich, which I think is something really fantastic.

The need to look into ourselves and the need to find the ingredients within ourselves is so important to our own wellbeing. No one is going to give that to us. It is in us and we have to dig deep enough to find it. We need to achieve something that will bring meaning to our existence. It is not merely to exist that we were born. There's more to it than that. If not, would our Creator have created this earth and all that's in it for nothing? And I often wonder if He too was looking for the essence of His existence through creation. I do wonder.

We look around and see it everywhere, people loving, people crying, people hurting, people striving, people working and everyone trying to make it better. Everyone looking for the secret ingredient that will make it happen for him, everyone going to and for and back and forth, searching, day in and day out. It's a life struggle for some. There's too much pain and sorrow that has overwhelmed them and they lose sight of the beauty of life that surrounds them and they choose to concentrate on the sorrows of life. What tragedy that is?

I know one thing for sure, if you choose to flavour your life with love, you will be loved, if you flavour it with joy you will receive joy, you flavour it with patience, you will be patient, you flavour it with laughter, you will always smile. The essence of life is found deep inside your heart, if you nurture it and strengthen it with the good inside your heart. It's the good seeds that you sow that will reap the fruits in it's harvest. The essence of life is here in these fruits.

In Memory Of Those I Loved

There are places I remember all my life,
Though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain.
All these places have their moments
